Pamukkale means cotton castle in Turkish. Pamukkale is a wonderful place to visit. It has beautiful hot water springs and the natural formation of travertine. Travertine are the traces of carbonate minerals left by flowing water. These can be seen from hilltop on the opposite side of the valley in the Denizli town, 200 km away.

The tourists are picked from their hotel. Pamukkale is approximately 2700 meters long, 600 meters wide and 160 meters high. The ancient city of Hierapolis was built on top of Pamukkale. In this city there is an ancient Roman amphitheatre which can be visited by tourists. Also a museum of ancient times is visited. This museum was used as Turkish bath in olden days. Other places to visit are the ancient Cleopatra swimming pool, the monumental tomb of St. Philippe, the necropolis of Anatolia, etc. There are many other tourist attractions which one can visit in this tour.
